The New Design: Symbolizing Progress and Customer Focus

The new DS2 logo is a striking departure from its predecessor. One of the most noticeable changes is the improved readability of our company name, DS2. The centerpiece of our new logo is a vibrant “Tron Blue” arrow that radiates dynamic forward motion. This element is not just visually captivating; it embodies the core values and vision of DS2. As a company, DS2 is continually moving forward, embracing innovation, and staying at the forefront of technology while maintaining an unwavering commitment to our customers.

The Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR) software packages provide the US Air Force with critical analysis of combat damage to airfields/runways during wartime. DS2 has developed RADR solutions for the last 11 years and is proud to be awarded a new 5-year SBIR 3 contract to continue optimizing the capabilities needed by our airmen. This work will build upon current prototypes which enable Civil Engineers and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) personnel to assess damage, create repair plans, and implement the optimal solutions required to regenerate airfields and restore airfield operations. This project will enhance the sharing, collaboration, and dissemination of data using frameworks, architectures, and continued development of a custom Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) solution in near real-time.

This project consisted of refurbishing and replacing old radio housing from CONUS and OCONUS locations. Repeated communication and coordination between CONUS and OCONUS locations was required to enable shipment of their radio equipment, rapid assembly, and return of the newly constructed RADAS radio hardware to its home base ready for its next operational tasks.

We developed integrated ATAK and WinTAK plugins for Intellisenses’s cutting edge weather sensing hardware.  After early success building an ATAK plug-in, DS2 was awarded the optional task of developing a WinTAK (Windows-based) version of the SREAF plug-in. This marked our first full implementation of a WinTAK project, and the team nailed it on the first attempt. The SREAF plug-ins make it possible for the weather data to be converted into plain text that is easily interpreted by operators, improving mission decision-making and situational awareness.

This certification is awarded based on employee feedback, specifically on how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. More than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply for Great Place to Work Certification every year, making it the global benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience.

Flashback to one of DS2’s Modeling and Simulation projects: the Virtual Reality (VR) Volumetric Mixer!

Throughout March and April, DS2 employees have collected and donated goods needed for the Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County’s Niceville operation.

Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County is a non-profit organization that provides food, essential items, and assistance to families in need in the Niceville, Valparaiso, and Choctaw Bay communities. This year, DS2 employees brought in over 300 food items for their pantry!

EWAACSmall3.1.png

The EWAAC vehicle will allow DS2 to continue to serve our customers at AFLCMC/EB, AFLCMC/HB, AFRL and others by providing a means to support the development of new technologies and engineering solutions to further their missions. This 10-Year $46 Billion IDIQ is the way of the future, providing Eglin with a local and agile procurement solution to meet the needs of the digital trinity. DS2 is currently using this vehicle to develop mobile mission planning solutions using tools like ATAK, JMPS, and NOMS.
