Niceville, Florida - DS2 is proud to announce the launch of the Virtual Sand Table (VST): an automated, scalable, and streamlined solution to antiquated Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR) training processes.
Integrated with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC)’s Command and Control (C2) Airfield Damage Repair Simulator (ADR Sim), the Virtual Sand Table utilizes the latest in gaming technology to bring a new, immersive visual interface to manage and simulate exercises in a Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environment. DS2 is currently deploying this solution to various CONUS and OCONUS bases around the globe.
Traditionally, RADR training typically consists of static printed maps, complicated spreadsheets, and cue cards. The development of ADR Sim presented the opportunity of further automating the RADR training processes, thus the VST Kit was created. Deploying the VST for RADR training replaces the traditional manual practices and provides users with an immediate ROI as the VST Kit enhances overall control and efficiency for both instructors and students, simplifying new scenario configuration, management, location awareness, labor and material forecasting, event injects, and mitigation strategies. VST simulates difficult engineering processes and allows users to work with existing fielded RADR solutions pushing the envelope on providing the ability to train like you fight.
With the complete VST Kit, trainees have a situational awareness view of their airfield at their disposal while practicing damage repair in real-time allowing students to see the outcomes of their decisions. No two installations are the same, and the VST Kit is customizable to fit the needs of each installation and can be scaled to up to 6 screens.
The standard VST Kit includes:
(3) 65” in 4K UHD Smart Televisions
(3) Tabletop w/ Storage
(3) Touchscreen Overlays
(1) Tower Computer
(1) Instructor Podium
(1) 3D Printed RADR Kit Models
(1) C2 ADR Simulator Software
Required Cables & Connections

Flashback to one of DS2’s Modeling and Simulation projects: the Virtual Reality (VR) Volumetric Mixer!
Dynamic Software Solutions (DS2), as a team member under Belle Artificial Intelligence Corporation, participated in a four-week Automated Analytics Virtual Sprint. SOFWERX, in concert with USSOCOM Joint Acquisition Task Force (JATF), hosted this event to identify technologies that are relevant to assist with automated analytics during Phase 0 Irregular Warfare (IW) operations.
DS2 proudly sponsored this year’s Technology Coast Manufacturing and Engineering Network (TeCMen) Industry Day 2022, held on April 26 at the Destin Fort Walton Beach Convention Center. This annual event hosted by One Okaloosa Economic Development Council (EDC) is the Gulf Coast’s leading, one-day technology, engineering, and manufacturing expo.
DS2 attended the 2019 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando to learn more about the cutting edge of simulation and training technology.
DS2 was awarded a follow-on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract to further develop on the work during the Phase I for the “Integration of Geospatial, Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies” topic.
DS2 is passionate about furthering the education and skills of our team. Last week, nearly the entire development team at DS2 attended a 2-day group training focusing on React skills. Lead by web development guru, Brad Westfall of React Training, who has been teaching web development for over a decade, this two-day workshop covered React proficiency through guided lectures and project-based learning.
