DS2 Supports the 2019 Congressional App Challenge

DS2 is a proud supporter of the 2019 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) hosted by Congressman Matt Gaetz at the STEM/Cyber Security Expo held on the University of West Florida Pensacola Campus.  DS2 travelled to the 2019 CAC, where DS2's Vice President Richard Pruitt participated as a volunteer judge.

The Congressional App Challenge is designed to engage student creativity and encourage their participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education fields. This nationwide event allows students from across the country to compete against their peers by creating and exhibiting their software application, or "app," for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.

This year’s winners included Blake Gaither from Sims Middle School, Grace Minton from South Walton High School, and Collin Padgett from Northwest Florida Collegiate High School.  Congressman Gaetz stated "It is always exciting to see what our students are capable of, and this year exceeded my expectations...I am incredibly proud of our students for what they've accomplished. The future looks very bright!"
