The International Coastal Cleanup was held on September 21, 2019 and DS2 employees joined in the cleanup.
Every year during Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup®, hundreds of thousands of volunteers comb lakes, rivers and beaches around the world for trash. For over three decades, more than 12 million volunteers have collected over 220 million pounds of trash. DS2 joined the wave of volunteers to help cleanup our local beaches.
Join the wave the next time you are headed out to the beach or a nearby park. Take along a trash bag to collect debris and trash that you find.
Every year, DS2 participates in a Fall beach cleanup to remove litter from our beautiful sugar-sand beaches and say goodbye to Summer! This year, we packed up our trash bags, trash grabbers, buckets, & gloves and headed to the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. DS2 volunteers soaked up some sun while removing an entire trashcan’s worth of rubbish from the shoreline.
For the second year in a row, DS2 traveled to Panama City Beach to support the extraordinary 2020 IRONMAN Florida event. DS2 members joined other volunteers to hand out water, Gatorade, and snacks to the competitors.
The DS2 Team was happy to support the 2019 IRONMAN Florida in Panama City Beach by volunteering to hand out water, Gatorade, and snacks to the participants.
The DS2 team proudly sponsored and supported our local area’s First Responders’ Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 24, 2020. The event was held at the Emerald Coast Science Center for our first responders and their immediate family members. First responders were in attendance from all of our local departments.
DS2 joined other local engineers and scientists at the Northwest Florida Fairground as volunteer judges for the 2020 East Panhandle Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
Inaugural FIRST® Tech Challenge AeroCoast League Championship Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) projects.
DS2 was asked to evaluate and judge each of the 13 participating teams and selecting the teams that best displayed the use of the engineering process, community engagement and support of STEM projects.
