Each Earth Day, Team DS2 gets together to clean a section of our local beaches. This year, our volunteers participated in a beach clean-up event hosted by Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles which took place in Destin, FL where our volunteers combed the shoreline filling trash bags with litter left on our beaches and tangled in the dunes
Our sugar-sand beaches add to the beauty of the Emerald Coast, making it such a great place to live and work, as well as a wonderful destination for vacationers. Our beaches also serve an important role in the lifecycles of our native marine wildlife, including the endangered sea turtles that call our beaches their nesting grounds. In 2021, over 30 sea turtle nests were recorded in Okaloosa County. Keeping our beaches clean is a simple way we can give back to our community, take care of our Earth, and ensure the Emerald Coast can be enjoyed by people and wildlife alike!

The DS2 Team gives back during the 2019 Earth Day Beach Clean-Up!
Every year, DS2 participates in a Fall beach cleanup to remove litter from our beautiful sugar-sand beaches and say goodbye to Summer! This year, we packed up our trash bags, trash grabbers, buckets, & gloves and headed to the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. DS2 volunteers soaked up some sun while removing an entire trashcan’s worth of rubbish from the shoreline.
Another great company outing for the books! DS2 and family participated in the Son of a Beach 5k benefitting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in memory of the crew of RATCHET 33.
The International Coastal Cleanup was held on September 21, 2019 and DS2 employees joined in the cleanup.
DS2 co-sponsors the inaugural Blue & White Gala, featuring keynote speaker Governor Mike Huckabee at The Henderson Beach Resort in Destin, FL.
The DS2 Team was happy to support the 2019 IRONMAN Florida in Panama City Beach by volunteering to hand out water, Gatorade, and snacks to the participants.
