Modeling and Simulation
THE LATEST IN REPRESENTING THE DYNAMICS OF REAL SYSTEMS
DS2 has developed a modeling and simulation framework for rapid and cost effective development of simulation-based applications for entertainment, training, and educational purposes. We provide complete systems for Virtual Reality (VR) and Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations involving real people operating simulated systems while providing constructive control inputs for supporting nondeterministic outcomes. Our framework is built upon the Unity engine providing a common core for graphics rendering, real-world physics, sound, and navigation. Combined with Oculus VR headsets, our framework delivers top-quality virtual environments to meet our defense customers' requirements for military training and simulation needs.

3D Exploration, Modeling, and Analysis
THE POWER OF 3D
Within any 3D model, physical behavior within the virtual environment is an important aspect for simulation as objects must accelerate correctly and display realistic visual effects of collisions, gravity, and other forces. DS2’s Modeling and Simulation framework handles these behaviors and provides accurate interactions of real-world objects within the virtual environment.

DS2 engineers also have expertise in Geospatial Information Solution (GIS) technology and have integrated it with Building Information Model (BIM) and sensor technologies to provide accurate 3D web-enabled views for situational awareness for emergency first responders. In addition, DS2 has developed solutions that immerse live video camera feeds into these 3D exploration and modeling solutions to provide a singular solution to visualization and analysis.

We have extensive experience with 3D frameworks, APIs, and SDKs including:

-

VIRTUAL MODELS AND TRAINING SCENARIOS
DS2 has developed techniques, strategies, and tools in designing simulated learning experiences that allow engineers to practice and test their knowledge, skills, and behaviors for scenario based training exercises. These virtual reality training simulations provide an immersive training environment for the management of the airfield recovery activities (Rapid Damage Assessment (RDA), Rapid Explosive Hazard Mitigation (REHM), Rapid Damage Repair (RDR), and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)). Virtual reality simulations provide engineers with realistic 2D/3D geospatially accurate airfield environments and airfield damage repair situations. For example, scenario simulations have been designed for damage mitigation and crater repair techniques for ADR teams. These simulations are used as a measurement tool that target certain learning objectives and ADR teamwork competencies. These frameworks can be easily adapted to your common business process.
DS2 provides accurate modeling and computer simulations that are currently in-use for:

-
Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) Simulator
-
Installation Recovery After Attack (IRAA)
-
Enterprise Resource Information System (ERIS)
-
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
